The MRC/ Wellcome Trust-funded Neurodegenerative Diseases Initiative will be engaging with the public during Brain Awareness Week, March 11-17th 2013.
Brain Awareness Week is the global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research.
With generous support from the Wellcome Trust, we will be producing a short, multimedia video, to increase public awareness of Motor Neuron, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s diseases, and of the exciting research the Neurodegenerative Diseases Initiative is carrying out to tackle these diseases. The video will be distributed via social media as well as being screened at a launch event during Brain Awareness Week.
I have just been diagnosed to be in the early stages of PD and shall be following up on any scientific input and data I am able to glean. Would also be interested in connecting/contributing to a research programme in the field of PD.Thank you.
